Could Olympics put small firms' at risk?

Meg Hillier, MP for Hackney South and Shoreditch, today is planning to read out a petition to try and secure the safety of small businesses in London during the Olympics.

Michael Spinks, managing director of Hackney-based food distributor Essex Flour & Grain Co, has launched a petition to ask for “freedom of access” to business premises located near the Olympic Park in east London during the Olympic and Paralympic Games.

Worries grow for the small companies as the Olympics grows nearer as they fear road closures could drastically affect sales.
